Our full name is Stable at Cornerstone for a reason. We're Shop 1 at Cornerstone Stores — a collection of independent makers and doers gathered around one courtyard at 570 Gold Coast Highway, directly across the road from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. One address, one car park, and a surprising amount to do once the coffee's in hand.

Around the courtyard

Start with us — that part you know. Then take the lap. Kind Curations is the browse: a considered retail store that occupies two shopfronts for good reason. Locavore Byron is the butcher — the counter to visit on your way out if tonight's dinner deserves better. Quince Cellar is the fromagerie and wine cellar next along; their cheese room and hampers have converted many a quick coffee into a long afternoon. The Upside covers activewear, and Lost Boys will tidy you up with a proper barber cut.

Upstairs

Above the courtyard, The Body Method runs its wellness studio, and Nuve Escapes looks after stays — handy if you're doing the southern Gold Coast properly and don't fancy driving anywhere afterwards.

The Stable way to do it

Coffee from 6am at our window, breakfast when the kitchen fires at 7, then wander. Butcher, cheese, a browse, maybe a trim. Cross the road for the lorikeets at the Sanctuary if there are kids in tow. By the time you're done, it's a defensible hour for the Garden Bar side of our menu.
